Common questions

Quick answers

Where are my entries stored?

Journal entries and practice history are stored in an encrypted database on your device. Stoic Intent currently has no account or cloud sync.

Does analytics include what I write?

No. Firebase Analytics and Amplitude receive a limited set of product events. Journal text, intentions, reflections, exports, exact reminder times, and local history are not analytics properties.

Why did a reminder not appear?

Confirm reminders are enabled in Stoic Intent, notification permission is allowed in device settings, and the device date, time, and time zone are correct. Operating systems may delay local notifications.

How do I export my entries?

Open Settings in Stoic Intent and choose Export as JSON for a structured backup or Export as Markdown for a readable journal. Your device's share sheet lets you choose where the file goes.

How do I restore Premium?

Use Restore Purchases on the paywall or Membership section while signed into the same store account that made the purchase. A valid existing purchase is restored without a second charge.

How do I cancel a subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by the store. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your Apple Account, then Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions. Removing Stoic Intent does not cancel a subscription.

How do I delete my data?

Open Settings and choose Delete all local data. This removes the encrypted journal database, drafts, reminders, exports, and local subscription snapshot. See our data deletion instructions for analytics or support requests.

Is Stoic Intent medical or mental-health care?

No. Stoic Intent is an educational reflection tool and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, emergency assistance, or professional advice.
